Our Mission StatementTogether we shall light the path and make a difference

Lions Club of Moor Park based in England was chartered in August 2001. Since our formation we have raised and donated in excess of British Pound Sterling £1,000,000 to various local and International causes.

We have been awarded the Top Club Award in Europe for Highest total funds raised for CSFII. We are 200% Progressive Melvin Jones Fellowship Club.

The Lions Club of Moor Park, now in its 19th year, has a strong membership.  We are proud that the club has a mixture of seasoned member and new ones joining the club.  This mixture is critical for the coming years to be successful. In the last few years, we have lost some members due to work, family and other commitments.

As President, it is our Club’s desire to get some past member back and introduce lady members. More importantly, it is our duty to remember members that are no longer with us. As the Club evolves, we have to look at the long term future of living the Lions Ethos.  Thus, this year, we will have decided to support one of the 5 Causes identified by Lions International.  Hunger is our chosen cause. Over the years, the club’s donations has supported major international charitable causes. But equally high on the agenda for the Moor Park Lions has been to support the many local charities providing services in our community. This year we are doing a Charity Walk with Cure Cancer.  All money raised will be going to support a purchase of state of the art equipment that will allow early detection on Cancer.

The club’s efforts have not gone unnoticed by the powers that be. Most members have been awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship – the International Foundation’s highest recognition acknowledging individual dedication to humanitarian services – not once but twice!  A record unmatched by any club across Europe.

The Lions is the largest voluntary organisation in the world.

Every penny we collect is spent on community projects.

We fund all administration through our subscriptions.
